Our Interior Painting Procedures:
- Move all furniture & belongings to the center of the room.
- Cover all furniture with plastic.
- Mask ceilings and trim.
- Custom caulk ceilings and trim to achieve the razor straight lines between ceiling and wall colors, as well as wall to trim colors.
- Lay down drop cloths to protect floors around the entire work area.
- Remove all light plates, electrical socket plates, vent covers and any other removable items that will need to be painted behind.
- Wall Preparation: sanding if needed, repairing of unwanted nail holes, surface cleaning, & priming as needed.
- Apply High Quality, Durable Interior Paint, designated for the task at hand, by brush and roll application.
- Remove all masking.
- Replace all light plates, electrical socket plates, vent covers and any other items we removed.
- Clean waork area (vacuum, sweep, etc.) We leave your home EXACTLY how we found it.
- Replace all furniture and belongings we moved, back to their original locations.
The only thing we request our customers to do to prepare for their interior painting project is to remove any sentimental items from the area to be painted. Other than that Lewis Custom Painting will do it all for you!
Of course, depending on the service requested, the above steps may vary- i.e Woodwork Refinishing, Cabinet Painting, etc- but our extreme attention to preparation, detail, & protection is present every step of the way!
